Air cleaner device for motorcycle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent rain water from entering a vehicle body through an outside- air intake port, by a method wherein an outside-air intake port of an air cleaner is opened toward the inside of the vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: A fairing 9 is provided at a front part of the vehicle body 1, a part of the side wall of the fairing 9 is bent inward to integrally form a cleaner case 8a, in which a cleaner element 8b is enclosed, and a cover 8d is removably fitted to the outside surface of the case 8a. On the inside surface of the cover 8d is provided the outside-air intake port 8c of a cylindrical shape which has an opening part opened toward the inside of the vehicle body 1 and is communicated with the outside air on the upstream side of the element 8b.
