Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make a frame difficult to break by using a metallic material having superelastic effect for a nose pad supporting wire which is secured at one end to right and left nose and pad pieces or nose pad block parts and is secured to a frame at the other end. CONSTITUTION: A nose pad supporting wire 4 is brazed at one end to a frame 2, and is brazed at the other end to a nose pad block part 5. The block part 5 consists of a nose pad piece 3, a nose pad piece mounting part 6 and a box 7. The nose pad mounting part 6 is fastened to the box 7 by means of a fixing pin 8. Since an Ni-Ti alloy having superelastic effect is used for the nose pad supporting wire 4, it has expanding, contracting and bending characteristics like rubber and prevents the nose pad part from being permanently deformed.
