Foam molding and apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prepare a high quality foam-molded product efficiently by a method wherein special movable molding dies, special movable cooling dies and a high pressure atmosphere room are used in combinations, a rough molded product is transferred under pressure and the final product is released from the die in the open air. CONSTITUTION:In a set of dies 10, 20 clamped, material is filled, heated and molded to provide a rough molding (a). Then, the die 20 carrying the rough molding is moved in the direction rectangular to the die opening direction. On the other hand, moving a die 30 of another set of dies 30, 40, the molding die 20 and the cooling die 30 are let to coincide with each other to be clamped, the rough molding is moved to the cooling die 30 and then the die 20 is transferred to the original state. Then, the cooling dies 30 and 40 carrying the rough molding are clamped and cooled (these processes are carried out in the high pressure atmosphere room 50). Then, the foam- molded product that is the final moled product is brought out by the cooling die 40 into the open air to be released from the die.
