Color photographic processing method
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To form a color image free from development fog and a compound color by processing a color photographic material with a developer contg. aromatic primary amine, a specified preservative and an org. phosphonic acid compound to stabilize the developer. CONSTITUTION:To a developer consisting of aromatic primary amine and a preservative having a hydroxyl group and an optionally mono-substituted amino group is added an org. phosphonic acid compound such as 1-hydroxy-2-amino-2-methylpropane-1,1-diphosphonic acid (salt) represented by formula I or 2'-pyrrolidine-1- hydroxymethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid (salt) represented by formula II by about 0.01-50g to 1l of the developer. Thus, the decomposition of the developer is prevented from accelerating. By processing a silver halide color photographic material with this color developer, a dye image free from color fog or stain is obtd.
