Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate rotating and sliding parts and provide an untroubled pump of long lifetime, by combining an optional number of vibrator plates with one another in a cylindrical form or the like and applying a voltage to the assembly to expand and contract a portion of the cylindrical assembly to change the capacity of the assembly. CONSTITUTION: To cause suction from one side and discharge to another side by volume change, a cylinder A is fitted on flanges C and check valves B are attached to the flanges as shown in a figure. The check valves are alternately operated to smoothly cause the suction and discharge. An electric or magnetic force is applied to the cylinder A to repeatedly deform the cylinder into a concave shape A' and a convex shape A" to change the capacity of the cylinder. As a result, a liquid or colloid is sucked from one side and discharged to another side. According to this constitution, wear due to a rotating or sliding portion is eliminated and a long lifetime is attained. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
