Calibrator of detector in radiation monitoring apparatus
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To improve accuracy of a measurement by so arranging a device that gamma rays for checking are directly irradiated to a scintillation detector. CONSTITUTION: The shielding lead wall 1 of a vessel for a radiation monitoring apparatus containing a scintillation detector 2, a photoelectric multiplier 3, and a preamplifier 4 which are formed into on body is provided with an irradiation port 9 at its part corresponding to the detector 2, and a cavity communicating with this is provided, in which a gamma ray source 8 for checking is disposed by way of a spring 7 and a lead shield body 11 for check ray source, and is made drivable by a check ray source driving part 5 by way of a check ray source lead-out bar 6. Then, if the gamma ray source 8 is moved upward to the position matching the irradiation port 9, the gamma rays are directly irradiated to the detector 2, and at the time of pulse observation, the energy peak of irradiation gamma rays becomes obscure to improve the accuracy of measurement.
