Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a coil with the occupation area of the coil reduced by using a voice coil obtained by winding a well-conductive strand with its surface insulated in a cylindrical body and by excluding the bobbin of the coil by an insulator cylinder whose diameter is close to that of the coil. CONSTITUTION:A strand of thin copper or aluminum foil, after being applied with a heat-proof insulating coating on its surface, is wound in a coil shape to form voice coil body 31, whose wind-starting and ending conductive parts 32 and 33 are elongated to form a cylindrical space. Into this cylindrical space, hard and lightweight insulator cylinder 34 with a little acoustic tranmission loss is inserted and concatenated and hardly stuck in a body by adhesives. To the tip part of this cylinder 34, diaphragm 36 is bonded by adhesives and near this bonding part, corrugated damper 37 is bonded, so that coil body 31 will be held axially slidable. Then, the occupation area of coil body 31 is reduced and acoustic energy of high efficiency is supplied to diaphragm 36.
