Luminescent display tube

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and to simplify the production of a tube by providing a grid spacer between a substrate and filament and providing TFT (thin film transistor) of XY matrix on the grid spacer. CONSTITUTION:A grid spacer 17 is provided between a substrate 19 and a filament 15, and a TFT 18 of XY matrix is formed on the grid spacer 17. Electrons emitted from the filament 15 are accelerated by a grid mesh electrode 16, dot hole electrodes of a grid spacer 21 are switched by combination of a gate electrode 8 and source electrode 3, and the passage of accelerated electrons are controlled to emit light from a luminous substance 20 on the substrate 19.
