Gas-sensitive substance
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an inflammable gas-sensitive substance which excels in the sensitivity at a low temperature, by using the sintered semiconductive oxide having at least fine pores of 5,000W10,000Å diameters for the sensor. CONSTITUTION: The preliminary calcination is given to the powder of the compound (tin hydroxide, zinc hydroxide, iron sulfide, etc.) which turns into the semiconductor oxide by heating. And then about 1W10wt% burnt volatile matter (crystalline methylcellulose powder, carbon powder, etc.) is added to the powder obtained by crushing the above-mentioned burnt powder for mixture. This powder mixture is molded and then burnt at about 500W850°C to produce a porous gas sensor, and then the electrode is attached to obtain a gas-sensitive substance. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
