Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent recording paper from being stained by the following ink droplets by biasing a retrieving signal during phase detection, in the titled recorder of the charging-and-deflection type provided with a phase-retrieving means for the cutting of ink lines jetted. CONSTITUTION:For example, clock pulses equal to eight times of the exciting signals fed from a pulse oscillator 10 are decoded through a divide-by-8 counter 11 and a decoder 16, and the third output of the decoder 16 is used as a phase-retrieving pulse. Namely, the phase-retrieving pulse is subjected to 1/64 frequency division at a frequency-dividing circuit 17, the resulting pulse being fed to a gate 18 and a flip-flop (FF) 21, and when the Q output signal of the FF21 is positive, the gate 18 is made to be positive and simultaneously a switching circuit 20 is changed over from a printing mode to a phase-retrieving mode, to superpose a DC bias voltage E on said pulse. Accordingly, since the phase-retrieving pulse is impresed on a charging electrode through the circuit 20 while being impressed with the bias voltage E, the following ink droplets are prevented from being charged to the same polarity as the printing charged droplets.
