Multinozzle device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable omission of a delay circuit by projecting the end surface of a preceding nozzle line at a prescribed distance from the end surface of a subsequent nozzle line out of a plurality of nozzle line in the multinozzle device for an ink-jet printer. CONSTITUTION:A preceding nozzle 2 has a distance between line l and the difference in level of a nozzle surface d in relation to a subsequent nozzle 3. Assuming that the moving velocity of the head is V and the jetting velocity of an ink particle is vp, the relation of d/vp=l/V is required so that the ink particle (a) jetted from the nozzle 3 arrives at paper 4, drawing a trail on the same plane with the ink particle (a) jetted from the nozzle 2. In the head 1 provided with d in accordance with the above-mentioned conditions, the ink particle (a) is jetted from the nozzle 20 at the time t0 and when it moves to the middle between the paper 4 and the head 1, the jetting is made by the nozzle 3 positioned at P1. Then both particles fly on the same trail and printed on a straight line on the paper 4.
