Fixed time voltage checking circuit for charging type battery
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To carry out a quick and correct fixed time voltage check by a method wherein voltages of a charging battery are checked by applying an extra load during a pulse generating period from generating a constant width of pulses at every periods through automatic counting circuit and pulse generator. CONSTITUTION: A constant width of pulses are generated at every constant periods by an automatic counting circuit 1 repeating on/off operations at every half-periods of a clock pulse CP and a D type FF3 forming a pulse generator, and a transistor 7 is turned off and a transistor 8 on through an inverter 5. A charged battery 9 thus becomes discharged, a voltage from the battery 9 is impressed on an electronic circuit L, and the battery 9 is sharply stepped down to a steady voltage by a heavy load through a resistance R 3 . When the steady voltage becomes a given voltage or below, FF11 is reset through a comparator 10, and thus a voltage drop of the battery is detected. The battery can be detected securely for defective condition from minimized on/off operations, a steady voltage is obtainable within a short period of time, and thus a fixed time voltage check can be ensured quickly and accurately.
