Lift preventive wiper

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent a wiper blade from being lifted due to the wind pressure, by detecting a car speed or relative wind velocity with a detector, operating an actuator in accordance with output from said detector and variably setting pressing load of the wiper blade. CONSTITUTION: Car speed or relative wind velocity is detected by a detector 1 to feed output from said detector to a control valve 5 through a control circuit 2. The control valve 5 controls the pressure of a drive pressure source 3 controlled by a regulator 4, operates an actuator 6 and prevents the lift of a wiper 7 due to the wind pressure. Though the wiper 7 is provided with a spring 10 for pressing a wiper blade 11, mounted to the other end of a wiper arm 9, onto the surface of a windshield glass 12, here in series to said spring 10 the above described actuator 6 is connected. While the actuator 6 is given the pressure from a pressure port 17 to cause the displacement of a piston 15 in a direction to the left. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
