Method and apparatus for defrosting inside surface of glass and for controlling humidity in car chamber for air conditioner of car
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate the necessity of a manual operation for defrosting by stopping operations of a humidifying means and automatically effecting activation of a compressor and changing-over to a defrosting mode in response to detection by a detector of an appearance of frosting on an inside surface of a window glass. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for an automobile includes mode changing-over doors 19, 20 and a compressor 3 which are all controlled by a control circuit 5, and also includes a humidifying means 28 which is responsive to an output signal of the control circuit 5 to prevent frosting from appearing on an inside surface of a window glass and to humidify a car chamber in a controlled manner. The control circuit 5 receives outputs of a glass inside surface frosting detector 24, a car chamber inside humidity detector 25, a car outside air temperature detector 26, and a mode setter 27. Upon detection of frosting, the humidifying means 28 is stopped and activation of the compressor 3 and changing-over of a mode are effected to prevent appearance of frosting. Upon detection of no frosting, the humidifying means 28 is controlled to maintain humidity within the car chamber at an appropriate level. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
