Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts and simplify the work for fitting, maintenance and inspection by using one idler also as a roller feeding two kinds of printing paper in the printer used for both sheet-form and roll-form printing paper. CONSTITUTION: On the occasion of printing of the sheet-form printing paper, a release lever 23 is rotated counterclockwise to make the idler 22 apart from a feeding shart. Under the condition, the printing paper is inserted through between a platen 7 and an ink ribbon 6 and positioned by a receiving member 28. Next, when a release lever 23a is released, the idler 22, holding the paper, is pressed on the feeding shaft 8 by the force of a spring 27, thereby enabling the printing. On the occasion of employment of the roll-form printing paper 21, one end of the paper 21 is inserted from the side of a guide plate 30 and the feeding shaft 8 is rotated clockwise. Then, the paper is led to the platen 7 through between the feeding shaft 8 and the idler 22, thereby enabling the printing. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
