Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the armature and the needle from bouncing and thereby obviating the fear of double printing and ghost printing by a method wherein the shocks of the armature and the needle are absorbed by an elastic member provided for the main body of a stopper. CONSTITUTION:In the printing operation, when an electromagnet 13 is supplied with current for a short period of time, the armature 12 is attracted to an atracting surface 14 against the force of a leaf spring 33 and strikes the metal piece 19 of the needle 18. Against the force of a spring 17, the needle 18 flies with a stroke larger than that of the armature 12 and collides against a platen 1. The armature 12 is returned earlier by the force of the leaf spring 33 abd collides against the elastic member 37, while the needle 18 is returned later by the force of the spring 17 and collides against the armature 18, the shocks due to these collisions being absorbed by the elastic member 37. Accordingly, the armature 12 and the needle 18 are prevented from bouncing and therefore the fear of double printing and ghost printing can be obviated.
