Coating for electrodeposition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: A coating for electrodeposition that is made by dispersing mica as an inorganic insulator, water-dispersed varnish as an organic insulator and inorganic particles in water in a specific proportion, thus giving high-thickness insulating layer free from granular strcture and excellent in insulating properties. CONSTITUTION: The objective coating is prepared by dispersing the dispersion phase consisting of (A) natural mica, (B) 5W40wt%, based on the mica, of inorganic particles, and (C) 2W30wt%, as the resin on the basis of total weight of components A and B, of water-dispersed varnish in water so that the total amount of the nonvolatile component becomes 5W35wt%. Component B is, e.g., silica, alumina, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, talc or glass powder with particle sizes of less than 100 mesh. Component C is e.g., epoxy, acrylic or polyester resin varnish. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
