Vinyl chloride resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:The titled composition, capable of giving a uniform matte molded article even by molding under a wide range of processing conditions without using a special matting means, and obtained by incorporating a specific vinyl chloride copolymer combined with a specific methacrylic or acrylic ester into a vinyl chloride resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride copolymer obtained by copolymerizing vinyl chloride with 0.01-0.3wt% a polyhydric alcohol ester of methacrylic or acrylic acid is incorporated with 3-200pts.wt. of a plasticizer, e.g. dioctyl phthalate, to give the objective composition. Polyethylene glycol (polymerization degree n=1-30), trimethylolpropane or pentaerythritol may be used as the polyhydric alcohol.
