Amplifying circuit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency of amplifying circuit and to reduce the distortion of signal, by controlling a switching power supply which supplies an operating voltage to an amplifier, in interlocking with the input signal of the amplifier. CONSTITUTION:The output of an SEPP output amplifier 1 is fed to a speaker 5 via a high band compensating circuit 4. The input signal 11 of the amplifier 1 is fed to a comparison circuit 25 via a rectifying circuit 20, and it is compared with an operating voltage obtained from an output terminal B of a switching power supply 6. On the other hand, the output (differential signal) of the circuit 25 is converted into a pulse width modulation signal, which controls the power supply 6 via a driving amplifier 31. Thus, since the operating voltage of the amplifier 1 is controlled according to the input signal 11, the efficiency of the amplifier 1 can be increased.
