Antistatic composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent transparency, water resistance and durability, by compounding the reaction product of an epoxy compound with acrylic acid, N-vinyl pyrrolidone, a hydroxyalkyl acrylate, etc., and an organic quaternary ammonium compound, etc. CONSTITUTION: An antistatic composition composed of (A) pref. 40W70wt% of a reaction product of (a) an epoxy compound having one or more epoxy groups in a molecule (e.g. glycidyl acrylate) and acrylic acid, (B) pref. 20W40wt% of N-vinyl pyrrolidone, (C) pref. 10W20wt% of a hydroxyalkyl acrylate or a hydroxylkyl methacrylate, (D) pref. 2W5wt% of an organic quanternary ammonium compound (e.g. lauryl trimethyl ammonium chloride) and (E) pref. 1W5wt% of a photo- polymerization initiator. EFFECT: Since the composition is free from solvent, the troublesome special procedures essential to the combustible solvents and toxic solvents are not necessary. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
