Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the sliding resistance of a rack wire to efficiently transmit a driving power to a front shoe, by securing the front shoe to the rack wire to open or close a lid by the front shoe, and by connecting the front shoe and a rear shoe through a link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Movement of the front shoe 8f caused by movement of the rack wire 7 in a direction A causes, due to movement restriction of stopper 24 of the lid 3, a guide plate 9f to slide along a slit 10, and due to the shape of the slit 10 the front edge of the lid 3 is lowered while the rear edge thereof is lowered by the action of the link 13 and the link 14, so that the lid 3 is accomodated. When the wire 7 is moved in a direction B, the lid 3 is closed, and when the wire 7 is further moved, the front shoe 8f is moved to a front edge of the slit 10, while the movement of the rear shoe 8r is restricted by a stopper 34, and the rear of the lid is lifted through the links 13, 14. Thus, the lid can be opened or closed smoothly without damaging the weather strip.
