Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce formation of dust of paper and to lessen load on the platen, by pressing printing paper that is charged to the platen to support it in the point contact state against the platen. CONSTITUTION: A paper presser 5 comprises end arms 5A, 5B for pressing both edges of the printing paper 3, and a center arm 5C for pressing the center of the printing paper 3. The arms 5A, 5B, 5C have semispheric projections 6A, 6B, 6C, respectively, which are pressed against the printing paper 3 so that the printing paper 3 may be in close contact with the curved surface of the platen 4. Since the printing paper 3 is supported by the projections 6A, 6B, 6C in the point contact state against the platen, the dust from the printing paper 3 can fall down. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
