Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate blotlike staining by offset liquid and make possible the stable feeding of an image carrying body by forming the image carrying body guide face of a separating member by an oil-repellent material and forming the nonguide surface connected to the guide surface by a lipophilic material. CONSTITUTION: A separating claw 16 which separates an image carrying body from a fixing roller 1 has an image carrying body guide surface 16A 1 , and is provided with two grooves 16A 2 , 16A 3 backward from the contact surface. A heat- resistant nylon felt 16A 4 in contact partly with the grooves 16A 2 , 16A 3 is provided behind the separating claw and further a felt 16A 5 of a volume larger than that of the belt 16A 4 is provided behind the same partly in contact with the belt 16A 4 . The image carrying body guide surface 16A 1 is formed by an oil-repellent material, for example, tetrafluoroethylene resin, and the two grooves 16A 2 , 16A 3 are formed by a lipophilic material, for example, polyimide or the like. As a result, the image carrying body is prevented from being stained by offset preventing liquid over a long period of time and the carrying body may be fed stably. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
