Determination of hydrogen peroxide
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: 4-Aminoantipyrine and an N-glycyl-N-substituted aniline are made act on hydrogen peroxide in the presence of peroxidase and the quinone pigment formed is measured, thus determining the hydrogen peroxide. CONSTITUTION: An N-glycyl-N-substituted aniline of the formula (R 1 , R 3 , R 5 are independently H, halogen; R 2 , R 4 are independently H, 1W5C alkyl, oxyalkyl, sulfonic acid group; R 6 is 1W5C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, C n H 2n -Ph-SO 3 -O; n is 1W5 integer; Ph is phenyl group) and its derivative and 4-aminoantipyrine are made to react with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of peroxidase in a buffer solution of 4.0W9.0, preferably 5.0W8.0pH and the quinoline pigment formed by the oxidative condensation is measured absorptiometrically to determine the hydrogen peroxide.
