Novel amidine derivative and its preparation

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R is H or lower alkyl group; m and n are 1, 2 or 3; Y is O or S; R 1 is OH, lower alkoxy or lower acyloxy group; R 2 is H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, CN or OH group), and its acid addi- tion salt. EXAMPLE: 3-[(2-Guanidinothiazol-4-yl)-methylthio]propionamidoxime. USE: A suppressant for gastric secretion having the action which is not anticholinergic. PROCESS: A compound of formula II (R 1 is lower alkyl group) is reacted with an amine of the formula H 2 N-R 2 in a solvent, e.g. an alcohol, chloroform, ether, THF or benzene, free from water to give the compound of formula I. Alternatively, a compound of formula III is reacted with an amine of the formula H 2 N-R 1 . COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
