Fixing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To rapidly suck and discharge the vaporized gas produced at the fusing of the toner and suspended fine particle materials and make fixing speed higher by providing a purifying device in flash system fixing. CONSTITUTION:The unfixed toner image 2 transferred from a photoreceptor on the recording surface of moving recording paper 1 is fused on a paper 1 by electric discharge irradiation by the lamp 3a of a flash device 3. In order to suck the vaporized gas etc. of this case, suction inlets 4a and 4b of a suction duct 4 are provided before and behind the fixing region of the paper 1, and unnecessary suspended materials such as vaporized gas and the like sucked through the suction ports 4a, 4b are released from a blower 7 by way of a suction duct 4 and filters 5, 6. Hence, the fixing work is performed in the clean atmosphere.
