Detecting circuit for knocking signal
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To increase the processing capability of a microcomputer by a method wherein a multivibrator detecting the completion of the pulse train of knocking signals of an engine is provided and on the basis of the output thereof the content of counting of a counter is read in a memory. CONSTITUTION: The output of a pickup 2 fitted to the engine 1 is given to a counting circuit 5 and the multivibrator 6 through the intermediary of a waveform- shaping circuit 4 and the output of 5 and 6 is fed to a computer system 11 consisting of CPU8, ROM9, RAM10, etc. Accordingly, the output of the multivibrator 6 is kept to be "1" while the knocking signals are continued and turns to be "0" after the final pulse is ended. Therefore, by utilizing the leading-down edge of the pulse as the input for reading-in, the content of the counting circuit 5 can be stored in the RAM10, and thereby the processing capability of the computer is increased and thus the response of the control of the time of ignition can be expedited.
