Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent soiling of the inside of equipment and copying sheet due to excessive silicone oil by removing offset preventive liquids such as silicone oil which are existing on the circumference of the roller while waiting for fixing. CONSTITUTION:While waiting for fixing, a cam plate 9 rotates to move a rocking lever 3 counterlockwise resisting the tensile force of a spring 7 and separates the pressure roller 1b from the heating roller 1a. By separation of the pressure roller 1b, its outer circunference comes into contact with the tip of the blade 22, and silicone oil remaining on the circumference is removed by the blade 22 through subsequent rotation of the pressure roller and falls down into a container in the lower part. The rotation of the pressure roller 1b at the position to wait for fixing is kept on for a time needed for at least one rotation after its circumference comes into contact with the blade 22, and then comes to a stop. By this way, soiling of the inside of copying equipment and copying sheet due to excessive silicone can be prevented.
