Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To shorten the selection of a time required for restarting CPU, by providing an output in case the first monostable multivibrator has been changed to an OFF state, to CPU as a reset signal. CONSTITUTION:In case CPU causes an abnormal operation due to an external noise, etc., by which a watchdog signal has not been given, or its time interval has become longer than the time constant of R1, C1, the first monostable multivibrator 1 is changed to an OFF state, a reset signal is supplied to CPU from the output terminal OUT, and CPU is reset. Also, when an output signal of the monostable multivibrator 1 is given to the second monostable multivibrator 2 as a trigger signal, after a time decided by the time constant of R2, C2 has passed, the second monostable vibrator 2 is made OFF, and a trigger signal is given to the first monostable multivibrator in order to make it ON. In this way, CPU restarts and executes a series of programs over again from the beginning.
