Residue discharge valve
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To peel and remove the residue adherent to a rotor and quantitavely discharge the residue, by providing a water injection nozzle for jetting water toward the lower portion of the rotor in a residue discharge valve of rotary valve type used for a thermo-decomposition furnace of garbage. CONSTITUTION: Garbage is conveyed from a supply conveyor 1 and thermo-decomposed in a heating chamber 3 of a thermo-decompositition furnace 2 to become decomposed gas and residue. The garbage 6 is allowed to drop down into a water tank 7 by a rotor 5 in a casing 4, drained its water and discharged by a discharge conveyor 8. When the garbage adheres to the rotor 5 as its operation continues, quantitativeness is lost in the discharge quantity of the garbage to cause the thermo-decompostition furnace 2 to unstably operate. Then water in the water tank 7 is pressure fed to a water injection nozzle 10 by a pump 9 to jet the water to the lower portion of the rotor 5 and peel off the garbage. The jetted water from the water injection nozzle 10 to the rotor 5 is circulatively used. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
