Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the reliability, by adding the catalyst composed of metals such as Cr, Ru, etc. to N type metal oxide semiconductor. CONSTITUTION: Pasty material is made by adding the catalyst composed of Cr and/ or its oxide and Ru and/or its oxide to N type metal oxide semiconductor such as SnO 2 , ZnO which varies the resistance by contacting with reducing gas such as carbon monoxide gas, propane gas, isobutane gas. Then, the material being sensitive to gas 4 is formed by said material by applying screen printing between the counter electrodes 1, 2 of the alumina substrate 3 formed by the electrodes 1, 2 and is baked. Hereby, the resistance variation for temperature fluctuation of the material 4 is lessened by Cr and/or its oxide and also daily resistance variation for the same concentration gas is lessened. Moreover, sensitivity of gas for reducing gas is improved by the catalyst composed of Ru and/or its oxide and also the difference between the resistance variation for propane gas and isobutane gas is decreased.
