Forward-leaning seat

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To simplify actions to get on and off a two-door car or the like by constructing its front seat to be leaned diagonally forward as a whole for getting in and out its rear seat, and increasing the space to get in and out the rear seat greatly. CONSTITUTION: For leaning a front seat 3 forward, at first, a lever 16 is turned to release a locking hook 15 from a locking pin 13. Then, when the seat 3 is pushed forward by hand at a proper point, the seat 3 is leaned forward round slanting rotary shafts 12a and 12b provided to front supporters 6a and 6b supporting a seat cushion 4. At this stage, since these shafts 12a and 12b are arranged on the same slant line X slanted to the plane surface of a floor 5, the seat 3 is leaned diagonally as well as forward. Consequently, the seat 3 is brought diagonally forward and upward in its corner parts on the door side and a rear supporter 7a for increasing the space to get in and out the rear seat.
