Picture display pickup unit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable real interaction with mutual glances agreeing with each other by providing in the same plane a display part externally for the outdoors and a pickup part internally, and then by operating alternate display part and pickup part with timing clock. CONSTITUTION:The display part is formed of transparent plates 4a and 4b, Y-axial and X-axial transparent electrode groups 5a and 5b, light-transmissive selective substance 6 such as liquid crystal. Further, the pickup part of CCd is also formed of semiconductor 7 such as Si, oxide layer 8 of a dielectric such as SiO2, and elelctrode groups 9a-9d of Al, etc. Then, the display part is provided externally for the outdoors, and the pickup part is also provided inside of it; and the both should be in the same plane for the outdoors. While the display part is not operating the display function, external subject 3 is image-formed on the pickup element provided inside of the display part through light transmissibility and pickup becomes possible, so that alternate display and pickup will come into effect with timing clock 10 by making use of the above-mentioned advantage.
