Magnetic ink composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: A magnetic ink composition with excellent coat property and magnetic characteristics, prepared in a simplified manufacturing process, which comprises a surface-treated ferromagnetic powder, a binder and an organic solvent having a specified range of dielectric constant and water-solubility. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic ink prepared by homogenously kneading a surface- treated ferromagnetic powder, a binder, an organic solvent and a necessary additive. Said organic solvent is a mixture containing 5wt%, based on the mixture, of at least each one organic solvent respectively selected from group A, B and C solvents, said group A solvent having ε<4 and w<50, said group B slvent having ε≥4 and w<50, and said group C solvent having ε≥4 and w≥50, where ε represents dielectric constant at 20°C, and w represents weight (g) of a portion soluble in 100g of water at 20°C. The group A solvent is n-hexane, toluene, etc., the group B solvent is n-butyl alcohol, methyl acetate, etc., and the group C solvent is methyl alcohol, glycerin, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
