Clamping device for mold

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the opening and shutting time of the mold in the mold clamping device for synthetic resin molding by a method wherein a moving plate is moved by revolution of nuts provided with a gear screwed on a tie rod. CONSTITUTION: Nuts 9 provided with a gear to fix a moving plate 3 to a tie rod 2 is inserted rotatively in tie rod sleeves 7 and at the same time a revolving device composed of a motor 10, a gear 11 and a pinion 12 is fixed to the moving plate 3. When a moving cylinder 4 is operated, the moving plate 3 is let to fall and the nut 9 comes up to the screw part 2b of the tie rod 2, then the motor 10 is operated, the pinion 12 and the gear 11 are revolved, the nuts 9 are screwed on the screw part 2b of the tie rod and the moving plate 3 is fixed to the tie rod 2. For the last time, a mold clamping cylinder 15 is operated and a ram 16 is advanced to clamp metal molds 17, 18 tightly. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
