Failure confirming method for facsimile receiver

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to confirm the transmission side causing a failure easily, by storing the transmission side identifying information once at the reception side and displaying the transmission identifying information on the receiver display section. CONSTITUTION:The transmission side code assigned in advance is transmitted from the transmission side and the code 1 is stored in the memory 2 at the reception side. If a failure takes place during reception and neither one of the signal current 7 and the recording current 9 flows, the failure is detected at the failure detection circuit 5 and the detected signal is output to the detection section 6. The detection section 6 judges the failure and transmits the operation instruction to the driver 3 and the transmission side code stored in the memory 2 is illuminated for the display section 4. Further, if no reception signal current flows, the transmission side is illuminated for the display.
