Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate storage and handling by converting an optical signal into an electric signal and then by storing it in a memory. CONSTITUTION:Image sensor 1, composed of a charge coupled device, with a photoelectric conversion part serves as an exposure unit that converts an optical signal from a subject into an electric signal. Then, the output of sensor 1 is stored in memory 7 by way of register 2, A/D converter 4 and latch circuit 5. To reproduce an image from the signal stored in memory 7, a TV picture receiver, etc., are used. Therefore, the optical signal is converted into the electric signal, which is stored in memory 7, so that the handling will be facilitated in comparison with the use of a film.
