Deposition inhibitor for living thing in water
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: A deposition inhibitor which prevents living things in water from attaching to ships, fishing nets, etc. without causing environmental pollution and bad influence to the human body, comprising a substituted coumarinic acid derivative compound obtained from plants of the family Umbelliferae through extraction, etc. as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: A deposition inhibitor for living things in water comprising a substituted coumarinic acid derivative compound (e.g., osthol shown by the formula II, methylumbelliferone, etc.) shown by the formula I (R 1 WR 4 are H, OH, 1W6C alkoxy, 1W6C saturated, unsaturated alkyl, with the proviso that at least one of R 1 WR 4 is the above-mentioned alkyl) as an active ingredient. For example, plants of the family Umbelliferae, e.g., Angelica Keiskei Koidz, Angelica japonica A. Gray, etc. are extracted with a lower alcohol, etc. to give osthol. In pure chemistry, for example, resorcinolaldehyde is condensed with methyl bromide in the presence of an alkali, and heated together with acetic anhydride and anhydrous sodium acetate to give 8-methylumbelliferone.
