Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve an adhering characteristic of the bead against the other parts by a method wherein some projections are made at the bottom part of the bead having an interior cavity toward the cavity itself. CONSTITUTION: Ornamental bead 1 made of a synthetic resin or rubber etc. applied in an automobile is constituted by a front surface 5, a bottom 7, a side 6 and a hollow cavity 3. The side 6 is made to be thinner along the front surface 5, the projections 8, 8 are made at both sides of the bottom 7, a groove 9 is formed between the projections 8 and the side 6, and then the hollow cavity 3 and the groove 9 are communicated with each other over the projections 8. Thereby, when the surface 5 is pressed, a bending momentum is produced at the side 6 under a pressing force applied to the surface 5, a surface pressure is applied directing from the point of bending momentum toward the front surface at the inward part of the bottom 7. Then, the pressing force F applied on the force applying point is gradually decreased from its lower part of the force applying point of peak toward the sides, resulting in making a surface pressure distribution. Adhesive tape 4 is applied to the back surface of the projections 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
