Loop transmission system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To use no large-scale master transmission control unit and make it possible to transmit data through a bypass even if anomaly occurs in the transmission system, by providing a transmission line for bypass between two going and returning loops and a pair of transmission control units on both loops. CONSTITUTION: Loop 1 to transmit data counterclockwise and loop 2 to transmit data clockwise are provided, and transmission control units 11∼13 are connected to loop 1, and transmission control units 21∼23 are connected to loop 2. Transmission control units 11 and 21, units 12 and 22, and units 13 and 23 are connected respectively by transmission lines 100∼300 for bypass which can transmit data in two ways, and respective pairs of transmission control units and transmitting and receiving terminals are connected by lines 311∼313 and 321∼323 which can transmit data in two ways. These transmitting and receiving terminals exchange data mutually only by units 11, 13 and loop 1 if they are normal, but these transmitting and receiving terminals use units 21∼23, bypass circuits 100∼300 and loop 2 according to the faulty position if the fault occurs in a position of them.
