Packing ring for slidable motion, provided with circulating channel

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To facilitate discharge of remnants accumulated inside a packing by forming notches in the direction of slidable motion in the part other than the one which becomes a sealing surface when it is fitted and is made to move slidably. CONSTITUTION: A packing has a Y-shaped cross section and notches 12 at the tip part of the fork thereof. While the packing runs slidably under the compressed condition, the front part 15 of the packing in the moving direction and also the inside 16 thereof become a place where a substance to which pressure treatment is applied, humidity and air are compressed and collected.
