Controller for fuel injection timing of diesel engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To properly control the fuel injection timing of a diesel engine by permitting the injection timing advancing means of the fuel injection pump to be controlled without the load by the return spring of the plunger, and adding to the means an electronic controller that feedback-controls it to constantly stay it at a proper advance angle. CONSTITUTION: A driving pin 20 for rotating a roller ring controlling the injection timing of a fuel injection pump is linked with a plunger 21 slidably enclosed in a cylinder 22, which is slidably housed in a casing 31 and forms oil chambers 32 and 33 between both its ends and the casing 31. The oil chamber 32 is communicated with the other oil chamber 33 and the suction side of a feed pum 3 through the first fuel passage 35, which is provided with a normally open solenoid valve 36 at the connecting portion. Moreover, the fuel passage 35 and a high-pressure chamber 23 are communicated with each other through the second fuel passage 40, which is provided with a nomally closed solenoid valve 41. These valves 36 and 41 are controlled by a control circuit 43 according to the engine operating conditions. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
