Safety device in combustion appliance

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make possible to prevent the burn of a gas chamber, etc., and the breakout of a fire hazard by making a flame detector fitting hole in the outside wall of the gas chamber and stopping fuel supply immediately when a back fire combustion happens in the gas chamber. CONSTITUTION: In the outside wall of a combustion cylinder 1, a flame detector fitting hole 14 that opens to a gas chamber 7 is made, a flame detector 15 is fitted to the flame detector fitting hole 14 and its detecting part 15a protrudes in the gas chamber 7. If a back fire combustion state of abnormal combustion occurs from some cause during combustion, the existence of a combustion flame occurred in the gas chamber 7 is detected directly and instantaneously by the flame detector 15, and by its action, fuel supply is stopped very quickly after the occurrence of the back fire combustion and the burn of the gas chamber 7 is prevented.
