Response time control system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To exercise closer deadline control over the response time of every response class by controlling not only an initial value and final value but also the increase width of a priority level. CONSTITUTION: This system is equipped with the 1st control table 1 that has fields 11W17 holding the number of command-achievement transactions and that of all transactions and the 2nd control table 2 that has fields 21W23 holding response classes of respective jobs, priority levels and current start time. The value of register 31 is subtracted by timer 32 and when the value becomes zero, control circuit 37 is interrupted to start the next operation. The command achievement rate of the 1st control table 1 is compared to the contents of address counter 36 and when it exceeds a setpoint, the priority level of table 1 is decreased. When a processing request arrives from a terminal, the response class of the 2nd control table 2 is read out and the 1st control table 1 is retrieved by referring to indexes to read the priority level and command response time, thereby exercising deadline control.
