Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve corrosion resistance, airtightness and workability by impregnating an anaerobic resin thereby applying sealing treatment. CONSTITUTION: Sintered parts are impregnated with an anaerobic resin which has 6W20cps viscosities at ordinary temperature and hardens when air is shut off, in an evacuated atmosphere such as of a vacuum tank. Since the resin is of low viscosities, it is filled surely in each pore of the sintered parts, after which it hardens. Because of this the airtightness of the sintered parts is enhanced; in addition, the corrosion owing to entry of, for example, chlorine gas, into the pores is also prevented. Since the anaerobic regin is of about 75W80 Barcol hardness, it does not increase the hardness of the sintered parts and provides good machinability and grindability. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
