Production of flurbiprofen preparation

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: Flurbiprofen is brought into contact with cyclodextrin to form a crathlate compound, which is used to facilitate of the production of preparation, thus producing the titled preparation useful as anti-inflammatory that is easily taken and has enhanced biolotical effectiveness. CONSTITUTION: Cyclodextrin is combined with water in an amount of 0.5W5 times the cyclodextrin in weight to make a paste and the equimolar amount of flurbiprofen is added. The mixture is kneaded for 2W8hr to give the solid crathlate compound. When necessary, a vehicle such as sucrose is added to give a dust preparation, which is combined with a water-soluble binder to be made granules. Generally, the solution method is also employed. The novel crathlate compound increase the absorption property without any adverse effect on the medical use and improve unfavorite points such as of unplreasant odor, bitter taste and insolubility in water.
