Optical information recorder
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an information recorder which has a reduced number of the component parts with a simple adjustment of the optical system, by driving the semicondutor laser with the pulse current of a short time duration and then carrying out the information recording while feeding the reflected light sent from the recording medium back to the semiconductor. CONSTITUTION:This recorder uses SCOOP, and the pulse current obtained by piling current I1 given from DC power source 53, current IP delivered by the information signal through pulse generator 52 and the current of time duration TP each other is used for the driving current of semiconductor laser 10. With application of this pulse current to laser 10, the output beams of P1 and P2 are sent out. Then I1 is set so that P1 may be reduced less than the threshold level at which the disk state is changed. At the same time, P2 is set larger than the threshold level, and also IP and TP are set so that the time duration may be made shorter than the hole forming time. As a result, the hole does not open while recording beam P2 is being irradiated, and the hole opens after irradiation. Accordingly, the output beam of laser 10 has no change, thus ensuring the steady recording.
