Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make a unit small-size, by a arranging many unit elements, where thermal resistance elements and photoconductive elements with diodes connected in parallel are connected in series, to make the sensor for transmission and the thermal head for receiving into one body. CONSTITUTION:In the transmission system, transmission original 2 is illuminated by light source 32 such as a light emission diode, and the reflection light is focused onto the photoconductive element array (only S1 is shown in the figure) by focusing optical fiber element array 33 and so on and is subjected to photoelectric conversion. In the receiving system, thermosensitive recording paper 7 is press-fitted to the thermal head (only R1 is shown in the figure) by feeding roller 34 to perform recording. Since photoconductive element array S1 and thermal head R1 are connecetd to constitute the head for transmission and receiving, it is unnecessary to use individual heads for transmission and receiving, and the head can be used for transmission and receiving by a simple switching circuit. Consequently, the facsimile machine for transmission and receiving can be constituted simply with a small size.
