Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the magnetic characteristics through two-layer construction of magnetic substance layer and to obtain high maximum output at low frequency band, by forming the magnetic coating film layer taking the cobalt as the main component on the substrate and forming the ferromagnetic metal thin layer. CONSTITUTION: On the substrate such as polyester film, the magnetic paint preparing the metal magnetic powder of cobalt including a little amount of nickel and chromium and polyvinyl butyral resin, is coated and the magnetic coating film layer of a given thickness is formed with drying. Next, on this magnetic coating film layer, the specified ferromagnetic metal thin film layer is formed. Thus, the magnetic characteristics are improved by taking the magnetic layer as the two-layer architecture, and the maximum output at a low frequency band, e.g., 333W1,250Hz can further be improved, allowing to use for audio magnetic tape.
