Method and apparatus for loading web supplying roll in paper splicing apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To permit loading safely and effectively by attaching a plurality of web supplying rolls to rotatable arms to successively load the web supplying rolls. CONSTITUTION: A pair of support arms 10, 11 for carrying web supplying rolls 9a, 9b are rotatably mounted on a pivot 17. While the support arm 10 is supplying web through a splicing portion B to a subsequent step or suspension loop portion A, the support arm 11 is rotated to a web supplying roll loading position D to be loaded with a next seb supplying roll. When the support arm 11 is again returned to its working position, a leading end of the web is supplied to a splicing portion B to deliver the web continuously to the subsequent step. Thus the web supplying rolls 9a, 9b can be loaded safely and effectively to permit labor-saving and safe loading. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
